About Me
Hi, as you probably know already my name is Alan D Bell and I’m a clinical hypnotherapist.
I am a professional, qualified therapist with the experience to understand what will work for you.
Qualifications
I hold the Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis which is widely regarded as the premier training provider of Clinical Hypnotherapy courses in the UK.
I also have a MSc in Business Information Systems from University of Strathclyde and a MA(Hons) Economic History from the University of Glasgow.
Professional associations
British Society of Clinical Hypnosis
I’m a registered member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH). The BSCH is a professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. Registration demands good quality training, ethical practice and adherence to their code of conduct.
My background
My main interest for many years has been hypnosis and hypnotherapy. First and foremost I’m a therapist – you might like to think of me as a therapist who uses hypnosis as a means of getting the results my clients want. As a therapy delivery method, little else comes close.
I started my career in the world of retail and IT management and I also spent a substantial period as management team leader in a worker’s co-operative. Then later my interest in therapy and training lead me to the voluntary sector, where I worked primarily in the field of addictions. This extensive and diverse experience has given me a passion for helping others.
So, what does all this mean for you? Well, you can be assured that you’ll be working with a clinician who not only has the ability to understand how you feel, but who also has the skills to help you make those vital differences to your life.
It’s my belief that we all have the power within us to make a difference to the way we think, the way we feel, and the way we live our lives. Sometimes though, we need a helping hand. Maybe you need a new way of looking at things? Perhaps you’ve got ‘stuck’ and could use some new tools to help you move on. Sometimes we just need someone to listen, and that’s where I come in.
Additional information
As a requirement of my professional associations I have recently completed an applied first aid certificate from St John Ambulance Australia. This training develops the skills and knowledge necessary to provide first aid response; life support; management of casualty(s); the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
I have been approved to work with children by the Government of Western Australia Department for Child Protection. The Working with Children Check is a comprehensive criminal record check for people in child-related work in Western Australia.
